- This was out third slow start in a row. We were either lobbing it inside or jacking up treys. This game is a little more complicated than that. We can’t afford to start like that vs. Florida. They can warm up in a hurry.

- Those 13 treys we hit were totally unguarded. They won’t be there Friday night. We’ll have to hit shots with a hand in the face.

- Fab Melo had an ineffectual game: 4 points, 2 rebounds in 8 minutes.

- CJ Fair hit a three but it was his only field goal in 16 minutes. We need a little more offensive production than that.

- Florida has a guard just like Darrell Lampley, only better: Erving Walker. That’s Erving, not Irving.

- I just have a feeling that the 34 game non-conference winning streak is about to come to an end. I hope I’m wrong.

Not unless Andrew DeClerq and The "meathook" have eligibility remaining

I was mentally thinking about sending you that message telepathically waiting for your upside downside posts. I love when that works.

This is one of those games that could go either way. Syracuse has the size advantage, & they can get up & down the floor with this fast Florida team.

I think where you hit it on the head, is your observation of their predominant tendency to start slowly, & the mad scramble to get back. So far, they have been able to do this with amazing accuracy, & I think they can do it again. The problem is, against a quality team, they will not bat 1000 playing from behind most of the game.

They need to have laser-like focus right from the jump, spot the opponent's weaknesses immediately, & then exploit them without delay...

I feel like this team plays down to every opponent, regardless of the disparity in talent, & that needs to stop before conference play if these boys have any dreams of a 1 seed & a National Title...
