I'd feel so much better if I could blame the refs for this in any way shape or form. Hold onto the ball and don't put it in the zebras hands.

Don't false start one out of every three snaps.

Block on a field goal.

Get rid of the ball or protect it If you are a 5th year senior QB. And don't throw picks to a zone coverage defender directly in front of your WR.

I can accept that our talent isn't great (it sucks but recruiting isn't as easy as it was for us in the 90's) but its hard to accept watching a team make so many dumb mistakes while the opponent doesn't.

Well there were some critically bad calls. Obviously that was not a fumble and in the first half on their TD drive they got a spot on 3rd down that gave them a first down. So that's 14 points.

By the way that PI call on RU was terrible. If there was no defender at all that pass isn't caught.
