Coach Boeheim is coaching the team.
Doing his job.
If the athletic department is watching what we have seen and not asking for changes they are clearly okay with the results.
John Wildhack has been AD since 2016. He has had more ranked vs. ranked football games at the Dome than ranked vs. ranked basketball games at the Dome.

2022- 1 football game NC State vs. Syracuse at the Dome.
0 basketball games in his entire tenure as AD.

How can you be this passive. It’s not patience anymore it’s acceptance.
This season isn’t really frustrating because I don’t think many people had expectations but that is the problem as well.

John Wildhack wake up and take back the basketball program for the fans. Coach Boeheim will be fine and deserves to be appreciated. He isn’t appreciated because he won’t go away.

You can email him instead of posting the same thing over and over on a message board. He responds to emails.

And add the football schedule this year. Playing a home game against a rival in NYC and no home games in Oct. It sucks as a fan and alumni. Wildback needs to do the obvious thing and end this and bring new coaching staff in.
 
Everyone claims all this great behind the scenes stuff like fund raising, coaching salaries, Dome renovations, etc. the bottom line is football, basketball and lacrosse have sucked almost the whole time he’s been here. Results matter.

Basketball is a disgrace. SU basketball game days now feels like annual doctors appointment day.
 
Why do any or you think the AD has the ability or the authority to remove or replace the basketball coach? He doesn’t. And those who do are telling you what they have told you before, “Get a life.”

I had fun at the Virginia game last night. I don’t normally have fun at the doctor’s office.

If this is true then eliminate the AD position and just pay a person to fundraiser funds for the AD and give them a commission on the funds they raise.
John Wildhack is Jim Boeheim’s boss.
Boeheim is not bigger than the Athletic Director and if he is then burn the entire thing down. Or name Jim Boeheim AD.

You just don’t do that.
Period.

Yes - the program has now been on the decline for nearly a decade.
And yes - last season was the (then) culmination of that decline.

But now - after what will almost certainly be a 2nd straight losing season, JW needs to have a long and difficult talk with the BoT and then with JAB.

This MUST be his last season.

Program is listless and going nowhere, and with the current coach’s lack of desire to pound the portal, 2023 is looking like it’ll be even worse.

We have ZERO ‘23 croots to worry about losing if JAB isn’t here.
(See: ND has lost their top 2 ‘23 guys since the Mock Turtleneck announced his “retirement”)

JW needs to tell JAB that he and the BoT are “allowing him to retire” after the last game is played this season.

And JAB needs to look around as how all of his contemporaries have left these past few years, and realize the game has now passed him by, and it’s time to hang them up.

It's not like JB can look forward to a warm and fuzzy farewell tour with lots of gifted rocking chairs in enemy venues anyway.
