Strangely enough the Committee seems to favor games in Nov/Dec more than either the regular season or the conference tourney.
Plus UK gets to play their 1st 2 games at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, a mere hour away from Lexington, not to mention the many UK fans that live in Louisville. It's 2 virtual home games for them. Ugh.The problem with that is the midwest regional is in Cleveland and the South is in Houston. Cleveland is about 380 miles from Lexington and Houston is nearly 1,000 miles from Lexington. Kentucky as the #1 overall seed deserved preferential location so I think they had to get Cleveland.
Not in 2006. SU went from wrong side of the bubble to a way overseeded #5 in 4 days

And therein lies the central problem with the selection system.Yeah that was 9 years ago. The criteria changes from year to year to fit their agenda.
I think it's totally valid to gripe about 2005 and 2010. They were lacking in quality wins outside of their gimmick gym and boosted their seed beating NIT teams in the ACCT. Complete joke as explained at length here previously.
Isn't this year sorta the opposite though? Their road resume' is so much better than everyone else. It's not like the teams we're talking about have 3 or 4 fewer losses to make up for that - it's 0 or 1 in the cases of AZ/Wisc/UVA. That's not enough of a difference to override the two best wins anyone has all year. If it is then they shouldn't bother playing any games before the New Year (which everyone complains about being meaningless).
You guys are nuts if you think Gonzaga isnt a legit final four contender. If I were Duke, I would be very afraid of them. That team can play. This is the best team they've had.
I think the Committee places way too much emphasis on games played 3-4 months ago. But i hear ya, they deserve credit for those wins. It's just kinda odd for a team to be a #1 seed that doesn't win the regular season title or get to the final of its conference tournament. Btw not a coincidence that they're on the other side of the bracket from UK. The NCAA is dreaming about the ratings bonanza from a UK-Duke final.
I know Georgetown is incredibly overrated as a 4, but Utah is by far and away the strongest 5. If they get through the first round I expect them to give Duke trouble. They will be able to keep up with Duke in a scoring contest if they reach the round of 16.

Your scaring me, I have sfu taking them out.
you best keep drinking, y'all are gonna get summarily bounced pre f4 once again - Justin Anderson one handed ain't Justin Anderson --- and Uva ain't Uva
