Ugly- The Kicking game what more can you say.
The play of Our Cornerbacks- if there receivers had any hands and the QB was just slightly more accurate its a hole different game.
Short Yardage Offense- eight plays inside the five and zero points, I know normally you get at least six point there but common eight plays and no points.
Right Tackle
The Bad,
The defensive line gets no sacks and in the first half gets run over.
Still to many penalties and just outright dumb plays.
still Dr. Jeckl and Mr Hyde team its like you watch two games in one.
The Good.
Broyld was good we need more of him.
Sales was and has been outstanding in all games including his blocking in the running game
Nassib in the second half was good
Gulley was good both running and catching the ball
For once the WTH moment of the game was not on us. I thought the last minute and a half of the first half when they had the ball near midfield and had a time out left was a what to hell moment. They had shown they could pass on us and could move the ball but for some reason they pulled a GROB and just were content to almost sit on the ball. I was frankly stunned but happy.
All In all not a stinker of a game because lets admit Stonybrook is a subdivsion team in name only the would beat many teams in FBS. We will not run into many teams anywhere including last week with two better running backs than we saw today.That being said this wasn't a great win either, we still shown no ability to win a game via special teams in fact the opposite is more likely. Our pass coverage is terrible and has been all year. We are to inconsistent on both offense and defense. We played like what I think we are a 6-8 win team that will need to play more consistent to win 8 games and play like today to win 6 games. we are certainly way better than the GROB era but we have a long way to go before all this talk of winning any league is justified.
