I forget the numbers but I believe one of the reasons for Boise not joining the BEC next year was that it would ultimately cost them 21 mil. Wasn't like 8-10 mil of that from this years predicted BCS money that they would have to forfeit?
If that brings their exit penalty down to around 11 million one would think that gives them more incentive to leave earlier. Especially after having their hearts broken by the single loss.
Maybe after feeling the sting of that loss they want to get their asses in a BCS conference ASAP. Especially one that they feel they could handle winning.
I am sure of one thing, if they weren't 100% on board already, Marianatto has gotta be doing cartwheels about now.
