They have been running the play where Lampkin has the ball in the high post, and Starling runs right past him towards the basket, where Starling gets the ball inside the three point line with a full head of steam towards the basket. By the end of the TT game, they were jumping the pass, and it resulted in turnovers or loose balls.I’d love to see our players regularly cutting through the lane and much less standing on the perimeter. Lampkin has mentioned this too in post-games. he would feast on guys cutting through the lane with his excellent passing skills.
I'd like to see the same action, but with Bell coming around the other side off a back pick as the second option. I think Starling being a decoy in that same play could pull the defense out of shape for Bell to get wide open threes.
Or less of a decoy, but Lampkin has two very good options.
The nearside corner could also be open, as the Lampkin Starling play was really effective and the defense was having to sell out to stop it.
