The last 4 games in retorspect

About 11 days ago, SU began a 4 game win streak. Lets think about what happened. The 1st game against Wake could very well have been a tipping point for the season. SU had just suffered 2 really bad loses on the road were to face a team that pretty close their equal. You could liken it to a 8-9, or 7-10 game in the NCAA. Lose and go home. SU would be the higher seed by respect that it was home. SU won a close game that was to be expected. Then there came Florida St. , a top 10 team that could liken the game to playing a #4 seed in the 2nd round. SU's only advantage was again playing at home. SU was pretty much in control the for most of the game for an upset win. The 3rd game was against NCSt, and playing on their floor could have made it a pretty close match. Now I'm thinking like a 3rd round game of 2 lower seeds in a S16 game. Again, SU showed a lot by coming back 16 in the 2nd half, tying at the buzzer on a hope and a prayer then dominating OT. And now the 4th game, an E8 match up of a low seed with a #1 or 2 seed. (sound familiar?). after 20 minutes it looked hopeless but in the final 20, SU took control and was not to be defeated. The point of this whole story is the improbability of it all. SU look to be a shambles. After the losses to UNC and ND, the team could have quit. Could have gone through the motions but they didn't. What the did do was make the final 7 games mean something. Each one. A lose is no longer the end, but does force them to focus. Something that the past 10 days shows they can do.
