Hey Iowa State, we have a coach loyal to his alma mater. You should feel bad.

But seriously, I do see the attraction in coaching at the highest level, even though you're generally hired to be fired.
 
When he's done in Chicago, it wouldn't shock me if he returned to Iowa St. Good decision by him to jump with what the Bulls have on their roster.

Oh I have little doubt he will be able to easily find a college job. He did a great job at Iowa State.
 
Bah - for a moment I thought miner was resigning for some political post in Chicago. Then I remembered that she isn't even qualified to be the mayor of Cortland.

He said the day he got the job that his dream was to coach in the NBA for the Bulls. Iowa State fans knew this day was coming.

Tim Floyd and Eustachy both had good runs there. McDermott really killed their momentum before they hired Hoiberg. My dad went to Iowa so I come from a Hawkeye family so trust me, nothing would make me happier than if they became irrelevant. They will need to hire the right guy, it's not a job anyone can come in and win. But I don't think they will fall back too much.

Cant really blame him, its one of the iconic franchises in the nba, and its a championship caliber team.
