The MLB trade deadline is rapidly closing in on Cashman

I'm concerned that he will get desperate enough to start throwing away excellent young players in the farm system to get a deal completed. Word that he put JR Murphy on the table is disturbing enough to realize that probably nothing good is going to happen in the next few days. Everyone know the Yankees are desperate and are in the drivers seat in any trade negotiations.Couple that with fat that Joba and Hughes are worthless and it ain't good.

The Yankees are in an unfamiliar position this year: They need bats not pitchers. Usually it is the other way around. Actually could help them on the trade market as some analysts have said that the Yankees have an abundance of pitching which should allow them to deal from a position of strength and possibly land a bat or two byt giving up osme of their extra pitching...should be an interesting trade deadline for the Yankees.

That "abundance is weighted heavily in the farm system. Unless Phelps and or Nova are in the mix and thats a mistake that I doubt Cashman will make.
BTW It being reported that there have been quite few offers for Cano that so far have received the expected no way Jose from the Yankees. It would take a super kind of offer for the Yankees to even give thought to this kind of deal. It won't happen of course.
