Did we win? No? Then I guess we are back to moral victories count. So we are 3-7 and 2.

We are so bad we can't remember what good is.

"Moral Victories" is an oxymoron. Are there immoral victories? Amoral defeats?

We want two things from every game: 1) We want to win and (2) We want to be optimistic we're going to win again. You can win but if the performance is poor, it doesn't create the optimism you want. You can also lose but feel that if you can perform at that same level again, you'll win. That's what is idiotically called a "moral victory" by some.

We didn't get the win but we feel better about this team than we have in weeks and that's a good thing.

And lest we forget. The much maligned D had the best game of the year (aside from the opening "drive"). Even with Luke, Paris, Corey, Rodney and even Daivon out. Did Whigham suck today? They all seem to be improving too. Both the blitz and the execution on 3rd down before their last FG were good. Bullough too called a good game today. Know it's a vocal minority opinion at this point, but they deserve another year, IMO.

Apparently you don't understand what rebuilding a program is about. Your username crusty fits. You seem to be crusty on all aspects of your post. Against the number one team in the country, the coaches COACHED and the players PLAYED and ended up short. However, most of us can see that if we can continue to get more play makers on the field we can begin being more competitive. In the meantime, feel free to continue being miserable if that makes your life feel better. The rest of us will continue supporting what is on the field and things we CAN'T CONTROL. GO SU!!

Respectively: get rid of that ugly-azz avatar. Might get some more respect.p

Love to agree, but.....

Disagree on the "deserving of another year" portion, but I was encouraged by the D's play today (especially Dowels/Hudson). It's still a shadow of the better/average defenses Shafer has fielded here, but they made some plays yesterday when it mattered. The big thing (obviously) was the ability to create the turnover. Shafer's D (when it was solid/very good) was never "light's out" in terms of allowing yardage, but the two things they excelled at were getting to the QB and creating TOs. We were generating the TOs earlier this season, but by and large we have not had either element during the losing stretch.

Yes if you were in the NFL.

We scored more points than ND, FSU, and Louisville vs Clemson.

That was a good offensive performance vs that defense any way you want to cut it.
