1) Howard
2) White
3) Lydon
4) Roberson
5) Coleman

First off the bench: Battle
4th guard: Gillon
Chukwu subs for Coleman near 16 minute timeout
Lydon moves to either 4 or 5 depending on who JB wants to yell at first
Thompson/Moyer don't get much burn once ACC play starts

Closing lineup down by 5 points:
1) Gillon
2) Battle
3) White
4) Roberson
5) Lydon

Closing lineup up by 5 points:
1) Howard
2) Battle
3) White
4) Lydon
5) Chukwu

Coleman
Roberson
Lydon
White
Gillon

JB will not bench long time starters who are seniors (DC and TR).
The rest come from Jake's Corollary. When in doubt, start the shooters.

Given the quality depth at guard, I think White sees more minutes at the 3 than the 2. Battle and Howard both need quality minutes too.

Barring injury, I don't see Thompson or Moyer getting a lot of minutes. But they will be stalwarts in 2017-18.

Frankie Five Fingers
Kid Mamba
Andrew "The Richmond Razor" White
Beast Roberson
Dajuan "Hulk Smash" Coleman

Tyler Lydon comes off the bench and leads this team in minutes/per and points/per. Oh, and he's top 15 in the draft.

In conclusion and addition :) Chukwu blocks the snot out of all acc guards incoming trash. Especially Dukies.

I largely agree with what you've got, but who the heck knows. But, I think JB is going to employ a press almost every game and that is where Moyer and Thompson might see some minutes. I picture Chukwu defending the basket with Thompson face guarding the inbounder while Moyer, Battle and Howard hunt the ball and trap. It would be only for a couple of minutes per game, but it would disrupt any flow and give some of our guys a break. Although, this would mean White, Lydon and Roberson all on the bench at the same time.

Agreed--I think this will be the eventual starting lineup. I expect Frank to start the exhibition season at the 1, until things shake out over the first few games.

Also agree with your take about White getting the token start at 2 but seeing the majority of his time at the 3, and predict that Lydon plays a ton of 5 this year.

Since it's our predicted lineup, rather than our preferred, I agree with EastCoast2's lineup.
I think JB wants Frankie's size up top to start.
Battle will get huge minutes at the 2, with AW3 playing most of his minutes at the 3.
Gillon plays a lot, bringing speed, energy, talent and scoring punch to the pg spot off the bench,
I think Lydon plays some 5 but hope most of the 5 minutes are split between Coleman and Chukwu.

Very possible. If so, I think Roberson would be better at trapping/running that Thompson is at this point. I hope we press in situations other than down 10 points.

Like it. I see Gillon being a Scoop type player. Steady, dependable, necessary.

Random point: I'm interested to know if Chukwu is even a serviceable foul shooter. That could impact how he's used to avoid a hack-a-Chook situation. Coleman was streaky from the line but overall much improved there. There will be times down the stretch of games where JB will want to play Chukwu (as East Coast noted) for his defense, especially if we go Trunk Monkey.

Very good looking stroke. Would not surprise me if he's eventually a 75% ft shooter.

Thanks, sounds great. He was 24/40 (60%) at Providence. Not terrible at all. Did you see enough of Chukwu to get an idea if he can give us anything offensively, apart from put backs and dunks?

That's all I would expect.
