I was saying this on Wednesday at the Village Pourhouse:

Being projected as a one seed for most of the season takes away the fun of looking at the various bracketologists' predictions. Usually I pore over the latest mock brackets at bracketproject.com every day, but there's nothing too interesting about being a #1 seed everytime.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

I'm good with it.

I agree. Same peopel saying the same thing. Its kinda nice but like you said pretty standard.

The one tough thing about a #1 seed (and this is not complaining trust me) is you know you will play the 8/9 seed which is a pretty difficult game if you get a bad matchup. The 5 seed could play a 13 seed. The 3 seed could play an 11 seed. Hell if a 14 upsets a 3 they could play an 11 seed. Total crapshoot. With a #1 its 8/9.

I think a better way to do the single game elimination is to re-seed each region after each round.

Am I'm not just saying it to make it easier on us this year, but the regular season can be deemed pretty worthless in NCAAB and this would reward the better teams by allowing them to have the easiest road possible.

Yes it's fun to see where you might/will be seeded, but for me it's as much fun seeing who your matchups will be. Actually the whole damn thing gets me amped up every year!

True, but as a 5 seed, you're not even guaranteed to make that 2nd round game.

Oh I agree. Its just that i nthe 8/9 game you know you will probably get a tough matchup without the possibility of an upset. Would much ratehr have this problem on an annual basis.
