Keeps RS, should get a few series in 3 or 4 games just because I say so. Will be here in 2026.

OK, good story, give him a few snaps then send him off to ring the lax pipes. SU needs him there more. Don’t trap yourself with nil on a guy who’s too small to ever be the guy.

2026 could start with a questionable Angeli, a no experience Belin, and a couple freshmen (too lazy to look it up now because it won’t matter).

Nixon’s pro-style system needs a specific qb, so 2 portal guys should be added. A 5th year guy that won’t tie up the roster would be nice and a guy with 2 years left.

Hopefully by the last two games of the season Fran will see the light and start Carney. He will have played four games and can redshirt while also gaining some experience in the event Angeli is not ready to start the 2026 season.

But, Rickie was brought in first and they were thinking QB1 probably so who would have been 2 at that point? It took Rickie looking bad in practice, I would assume, for them to get Angeli. Even if Rickie was decent we would have no viable backup. Apparently Carney can’t absorb the playbook(sarcasm alert)

QB competition next year will be Angeli and Arch Manning. Carney and Belin will be training as backups.

Part of me is slightly concerned that Clemson may have overinflated Angeli’s stock. Let’s face it - we ARE putting Angeli on a pedestal because of that one game. We should be able to bring in a promising Portal QB and have them battle it out.

The previous game fans were calling for Angeli to be benched. Again, how much of this was Clemson really sucking? Yes Angeli had me and everyone else excited, i just hope the staff realizes we need to hit the portal hard to avoid a repeat of this year.

Well, Dr. the risk is on you then. We have seen what we can do without a qb. And I for one, am not willing to bet on him being ready. We have people on this board that have talked to specialists and have had them tell them that it is at best 50/50. No way do I settle for that. And you and I have no way of knowing. None.

He was the NCAA passing leader in yards, come on. He learned the offense quickly, improved noticeably as we watched, and was a leader the team responded to. That’s the thing, that’s it, that’s the whole of it. Team was starting to excel on offense, WR’s were Mossing guys. I have no doubt that if he’s healthy next year, we’re going on a run.

Now you gotta bring in someone to compete, someone who is ready to start if need be if Angeli is not available. Someone who wants to inherit that NCAA passing leader crown, who is not thrilled with current digs, who sees what McCord did and what Angeli was doing. Arch Manning.

brian doyle murray christmas vacation: picks up the office phone and says " get me somebody, anybody". that is our entire coaching staff at this time. we have people but they can't get on the same page. including stupid penalties. there is talent why do we stink so bad???? maybe the coaching staff and captains need an honest conversation. forget the kumbaya temporarily , just keep it performance based, factual accountable, disciplined, without condescending overtones.
players have a responsibility to learn and perform. we have some really good young players and veterans, collins is NOT the only one responsible for this utter failure.
