The real reason Louisville is now in ACC

Like most things, the truth is somewhere in-between.

From a Kentucky writer we have this

But in either case, Louisville was reporting profits like 11-12 back when they were playing Freedom Hall. The amount went up some when they moved to the Yum, but not astronomically in terms of basketball.

The city is about to make a payment for the 9.8 million dollars the arena is short on it's mortgage. How do they have profits when you cant't pay your expenses?
 
Also I believe Louisville cooks the books a bit too. If they're so profitable why did their athletic department receive nearly 40 million dollars from the academic side from 2006-2011?
