So what you guys think JB is dreaming about lol?

For those wondering, he was watching(or suppose to be) Kaleb Joseph and Goodluck Okonoboh on Thursday night in that pic.

HMMM...yes Julie that looks really good...c'mon how many times is Coach K out there recruiting. Give JB a break...he is a soldier and general for the bball team...never ask others to do something you would not!

When you think of it, he is impressive As old as he is to be taking in these games is impressive. He's out working hard when others have quit. He deserves a nap.
He deserves a nap no doubt. Flew out to Milwaukee on Wednesday to check out Whitehead, and then left the next day to fly out to PA to show Joseph and the rest some love. Now that's some dedication from the old man.

Am I the only one concerned about something like this being used against him in recruiting?

Why does he look like the only person in the gym?

Absolutely not! The kids understand as much as anyone that the AAU open season is an absolute grind. The kids will appreciate the fact that Boeheim, at his age, came out to show them love. They already know that the kid they want can play, or else they wouldn't have been offered.

Agree 100% DJSO. Most of the time the coaches are busy talking to other coaches and don't even pay much attention to the games. They're mostly just there for school representation towards the recruit being pursued. Also of note, JB was the only head coach(not assistant) to be present at that specific game. If anything, it should be used as a positive that JB at his age is still out there grinding state to state showing love for these kids.

used against himr. hes got more talent than ten nba teams. keep sleeping

Was that picture taken during a game or in some pause between games? I would certainly think this would be a negative. If you are only there to show the recruits some love in the first place - falling asleep during their game sure doesn't do that - quite the opposite. A player could easily think: man other coaches have told me this guy is about to retire and I didn't think anything of it until now... etc.

Without knowing anything about the picture it is hard to get too spun up about it, but it sure doesn't act as a positive thing for recruiting.

If this isn't a gag photo opp it might be time for Jimmy to go home and sleep in his bed and play golf with Julie.

This is actually a picture of John Malkovich doing a stretching exercise just prior to shooting a scene in "Shut it down" The Jim Boeheim Story.

Nah. I figured it out. JB wasn't snoozing. He was knocked out cold from a particularly violent and wayward Goodluck blocked shot.

Dunno at what portion of the game the picture was taken, but it's not really a big deal unless you want to make it one. If other schools want to use that as a negative then find out why JB was the only head coach there and not them? That game was going on at around 9/10pm in a gym where there was no AC and kids were playing their 3rd game of the day. Players are tired and coaches are ready to call it a night. We might lose out on a kid for numerous reasons, but JB snoozing on a nighttime AAU game when other coaches decided to leave early isn't one of them.

I think it can only be used in his favor.

Please - if anyone uses that against JB, he can use a 920 wins and a 2013 Final Four against them - advantage JB
