Oh way that didnt happen.

3rd and 7. We run the safe draw, perfect call , 3 LSU guys sucked inside.. no backside help. LT goes for cut block and misses, strange play, we pull the LG, the RG cant hold the block, which should be easy given the angle, but the DT cuts threw and the cut block fails so the huge hole is gone. if either block is done Neal has angle and speed to get to the safety 20-30 yds down field.

what was the result of this play; because there are 2 ginormous holes there the line appears to have opened up.

(and why did we cut block there, did he slip and fall over first?)

I think it went for like 2-3 yds.

It looked like he planned on a cut block.. I think the play design with the pulling oline was up the middle so that makes a cut block ok, but it also means he had no way to adjust the block. if the ball isnt handed off so deep the play still works.

.. yeah he could go right or left.. Right though was where the LBs were trapped. Since both Olinemen lost their blocks the play broke down even though the back make the correct cut left. if one of the blocks holds its a huge gain and with a faster RB that only leaves the safety who is out of the picture 20+ yds down field

pretty much. out of the play. I think there is a DT buried inside though.. they played mostly single high

Looking at that picture, I have to take back my confusion on why we ran there. Though, it didn't work. That hole to the left should have been an easy 1st down with good execution. We will get there eventually. It sucks waiting, but hey, we have been waiting for a long time anyway.

It's also tough just to take a snapshot of a developing play - you can make any play look like a potential TD.
