The Rutgers Auction

It really makes me wonder what would have happened if I had been able to get a hold of Pete who offered to let someone use his sister in law's NJ address.
Wouldn't've mattered.
Rutgers owns the NY(C) market... they've got a fan in every town in NY.

That in and of itself didn't seem too odd to me. It's the fact that I put the exact same bid in for both sets and both sets happened to beat me by 6 bucks that is real odd. It really makes me wonder what would have happened if I had been able to get a hold of Pete who offered to let someone use his sister in law's NJ address.

Oh well, perhaps I'll get lucky down the road with tickets for a game somewhere else.

It doesn't sound like RU Athletics ran a very fair auction. In fact, I don't think it met the criteria of an auction at all. You need to see where your current bid stands in order for it to be a true auction. Were they supposed to update their website every half hour or something? Were they supposed to email people when they were outbid? This whole thing sounds like a sham. I doubt the address would have mattered they way they ran this thing. I just hope another SU fan won and is keeping it secret.
