The Season is Over Thread

Haven’t we been doing that for weeks in the “fire Autry” thread?

The "Fire Autry" thread is not a safe space.

Headlocks, rabbit punches, noogies, and atomic wedgies are going on in there...

If the rest of the season will consist of low-effort, go-through-motions defense and ballhandlers focusing on their own points stat-stuffing, we will likely lose most of the remaining games and end the season with a losing record.

The fact that we are already seeing this approach from the players and it's not even February, speaks volumes. It would appear Red has lost them and their heads are at coasting the season off into the sunset...

Looking forward to the HC search. Hopefully someone with a clear plan and someone who can energize this dormant fanbase.

Best way I can describe CNY. Will root for and support something worthwhile.

At this point in my life and the way college athletics in general operate now im numb to just about everything. It just isnt the same as it was and its really hard to get behind it.

I was away for 10 days and missed 3 straight games where i couldnt watch and quite frankly i didnt miss it.

At least pitchers and catchers report soon.

Sun may have set on this season-
but the sun is out in Syracuse today, shining on the fresh snow -a cold, but nice looking day.
In times like this, some sunshine helps -LOL.

Agreed! I'm absolutely in favor of the transfer portal and NIL deals for players. But I also feel it's been a net negative in what it's done for the game. Hopefully, leadership can figure out a way to make it all work.

Pro sports are way better now. What a world.

I'm curious after the end of Red's press conference last night if he felt like the players that played in the last 2 minutes did enough to warrant increased PT or even a starting job!

He wanted to see what they could do! And now he has!! Go Red! Adjustments are on the way!!!!

I am going to be honest... I don't want to see Calvin Russell playing basketball again this season.

There is no reason to risk him getting injured in THIS lame duck basketball season before he even sets foot on the football field, IMHO.

But, but...these poor kids young adults of yesteryear were so exploited and wronged! How could getting into school(s) they would've likely never been able to sniff at, let alone be able to pay for, along with the numerous additional perks and benefits, etc. ever have been such a tradeoff for such 'slave' labor and the like. I mean, they had so many better options and opportunities at their disposal at the time. Why would they ever sign up, voluntarily no less, for such willful exploitation? I'll never understand it. ;)

I agree with you and feel the same. However, he probably wouldn't be here unless he could play some basketball.

100% agree with you
