The Season Isn't Over Thread

The obvious problem that we're now in is that when the tough gets tough, the fight won't be there. Before, when there was hope, players would fight till the end. I think it might get uglier moving forward. I hope not, and I'll continue to root for this team, but I think that BC loss might have broken this team. It did for many fans.

Somehow the season is really not over, the metrics are much more favorable in Syracuse favor for what their record is. It's actually surprising. Pretty much every game with a win from here on out will provide big boosts in the metrics as well besides Pittsburgh. I just have a bizarre feeling we are in for some wackiness down the stretch of the season.

We have solid NIT level Net numbers is all. It’s over. We have 2 Q3 losses and a total of 2 combined Q1 and Q2 wins.

I hated the fear of sneaking into the NCAAs and JW giving him another year. Now we don't have to worry about that and can root for the team unabashedly without any ambivalence. Although I'll start to get a little nervous if we somehow make it to the ACC championship game.

It's over if the trend continues and they don't win these games. I'm just saying that because of their schedule and where they stand metrics wise, there is an open door for some major change of positioning type games if you win. This is a weak bubble. There really hasn't been a lot of upsets this season in general.

We have to win our next 3 then compete closely or beat Duke then win out after that to be on the bubble. Then a finals appearance in the ACCT. More than one loss in the regular season to finish out and we have to win the ACCT

Yeah that would make this team a lock

I'm thinking we will have more double digit losses than wins the rest of the year.

Wishful thinking. Best case scenario, we go 3-3 to finish at 17-14, IMO.

What are our NIT chances? Be classic Syracuse to get into the NIT and then make a run in the NIT delaying the firing of Autry.

Feels like the story I’m about to witness.

Is this you "spitballing" again or being serious? I can't tell most of the time.

The truth is you win the rest of your games your probably in the tournament as much as a dumpster fire year as it’s been
Beating Duke at Cameron even if having 20 losses is enough to get most teams in. It’s the special rule that overrides all other selection Sunday rules ha

I’m spitballing on a future prediction. How can one see clearer?

humor is the only lubricant for SU hoops. Otherwise it’s laughably bad .
