All the hope we had pent up as a program that has "turned the corner" is now on hold and may have been the wishful thinking.
If we can lose to Pitt, we can lose to any of the teams remaining on our schedule.
That's not to say we will, but the possibility of another second half season collapse is palpable, as we've been found out as incapable of stopping the run.
It's a major flaw that all future opponents will focus on tactically and look to exploit. If this problem truly stems from lack of adequate talent at LB, then we have recruiting problems as well.
These next few games are huge for Babers and co... Can they fix these problems or have they not brought in the right talent to fix it?
I am still hopeful Babers and co can stop the bleeding on the run, but if they can't and 2 losses turn to 3... Then into 4, well, we know this story well... And a rinse and repeat of it in year 3 would be a serious red flag on this regime.
