I know we're only 2 games in, but it is nice to see us in that category (for a change). Of course, so is NC St, so...

It's kind of like winning those 2 preseason NIT, CvC etc games, they give you in the Dome...before shlit gets real.

Nine teams dropped from the unbeaten ranks this week. Remaining undefeated teams - updated after 9/20 games:

P5 Conferences:
PAC12 - 7 teams: Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, UCLA;
SEC - 5 teams (all in West Division): Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Miss. State;
ACC - 4 teams: Florida State, NC State, Georgia Tech, Duke;
B12 - 3 teams: Baylor, Oklahoma, TCU;
B1G - 2 teams: Penn State, Nebraska.

Non-P5 conferences:
AAC
- Cinci (has Ohio State and Miami on schedule);
CUSA - Marshall (no P5 opponents on their schedule this season);
MAC - None left;
MWC -None left;
Sun Belt - None left;
Independents - Notre Dame (all remaining games vs. P5, except Navy) and BYU (beat Texas and Virginia, plays Cal later on)

Total of 25 teams left with a chance of running the table. There are a few matchups of undefeated teams next week, as well as some featuring unbeatens against higher-ranked teams that already have a loss.

May as well keep this going. Even though a bunch of top teams had byes, eight teams dropped from the unbeaten ranks this week. Remaining undefeated teams - updated after 9/27 games:

P5 Conferences:
SEC - 5 teams (all in West Division): Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Miss. State;
PAC12 - 3 teams: Oregon, Arizona, UCLA;
B12 - 3 teams: Baylor, Oklahoma, TCU;
ACC - 2 teams: Florida State, Georgia Tech;
B1G - 1 team: Nebraska.

Non-P5 conferences:
AAC
- None left;
CUSA - Marshall (no P5 opponents on their schedule this season);
MAC - None left;
MWC -None left;
Sun Belt - None left;
Independents - Notre Dame (all remaining games vs. P5, except Navy) and BYU (beat Texas and Virginia, plays Cal later on).

Total of 17 teams left with a chance of running the table. There are several matchups of the remaining undefeated teams next week, as the conference games kick in. The SEC is guaranteed to lose either 2 or 3 unbeaten teams, while the PAC and B12 will each drop at least one of theirs and possibly two.

Could use a distraction from the big stories of the day. After last weekend's showdown games, seven teams dropped from the unbeaten ranks this week. Remaining undefeated teams - updated after 10/4 games:

P5 Conferences:
SEC - 3 teams (all in West Division): Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss. State;
ACC - 2 teams: Florida State, Georgia Tech;
B12 - 2 teams: Baylor, TCU;
PAC12 - 1 team: Arizona;
B1G - None left.

Non-P5 conferences:
AAC
- None left;
CUSA - Marshall (no P5 opponents on their schedule this season);
MAC - None left;
MWC -None left;
Sun Belt - None left;
Independents - Notre Dame (all remaining games vs. P5, except Navy).

A total of ten teams are left with a chance of running the table. A few more look to drop out next week, as conference games continue. The SEC is guaranteed to lose at least 1 and maybe 2 unbeaten teams, as Auburn plays Miss. St. and Ole Miss faces an angry A&M squad. The PAC 12's last unbeaten has to worry about a letdown after their big win vs. Oregon when they host USC. Baylor and TCU also play each other this week, so the B12 will be down to a single unbeaten in next week's update. Directional Tennessee is surprisingly high scoring and might give Marshall a scare, formally eliminating the last Cinderella. Unless they get caught looking ahead to their matchup on Oct. 18th, Notre Dame and FSU look to roll their opponents:(, which could leave the ACC at the top of the heap if GaTech can handle Duke.
