We were there. And now another generation has a game like this to remember.

- This game was not a fluke and it wasn’t just a product of Bryant’s injury, (which is how it’s being played in the national media). We out-gained the defending national champions 440-313. We out-rushed them 162-113. We out-passed them 278-204. We had more first downs, 28-16. We were 8 of 19 on third down conversions and 2 of 2 on 4th down. They were 2 of 11 and o for 1. Oh, and we out-scored them 27-24 and were never behind.

- The best defensive lineman in that game was Steve Slayton. Unless it was Alton Robinson. It was not 340 pound Dexter Lawrence, who seemed lost in the maelstrom around him.

- The best linebackers in that game were Zaire Franklin and Parris Bennett

- The best quarterback in that game was Eric Dungey, who passed for 278 yards and 3 TDs and ran for 102 yards. 41 yards in sacks were subtracted from that but he still had 339 yards total offense and those three scores against the supposed best defense in the country.

- Dontae Strickland had that awful fumble but ran like a man possessed the rest of the game, (actually he was running that way on that play and lost the ball because he may have bene trying to do too much – it happens). He got 78 tough yards on 19 carries, 4.1 yards per carry.

- Seven different guys caught passes for us. Now they have to cover everybody and even Clemson couldn’t do it.

- Our young line, which looked so bad early in the season, held up just fine against the might Tigers.

- Auburn couldn’t do this. Louisville couldn’t do this. This team duked it with Alabama on even terms in the last two national championship games and we duked it out with them on our terms tonight. We now knwo we can beat anybody on our schedule.

- The best part of a great victory is waking up in the morning and smiling.

4-3 with 5+ to go

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!
