- Why was Nahem McCloud hardly used until his last two games? I recall in the ESPN pregame show, much was made of Duke being the tallest team in the country. I thought, “Let’s roll Naheem out and tell ‘em to get a load of this.” Naheem played 22 minutes, more than doubling his season total and topping Eddie Lampkin who had 18, made all 4 of his field goals, including a violent dunk, both of his free throws and scored 10 points. He had only two rebounds, (but we out-rebounded the tallest team 33-32). His NP/40 is now 19.9, best on the team.
- Jayre Davis had a fine game, scoring 12 points on 6 for 8 from the field. He also had 3 rebounds among the tall timber and an assist.
- Starling did have a great start, scoring our first 7 points, allowing us to be competitive early.
- Petar Majstorovic hustled his way 6 rebounds and an equal number of NP in 15 minutes.
- Eddie Lampkin didn’t have a great game but led us in rebs with 7 and that’s why we won that stat.
- I still like Maliq Brown and wish he was here. He had 6 pints, 8 rebounds, 3 steals a block and an assist. Ironically, with Freeman out, He’s be our ‘4’, which was what he wanted.
- The rest of the schedule contains no ranked teams.

Net Points
This year I’m going to make things a bit easier on myself and just list the net points in each game after the Upside. Once a month I’ll do a deeper dive into the numbers rather than doing a “Net Points, etc.” post after every game. ‘Net’ points are the positives (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks) minus the negatives, (missed field goals and free throws, turnovers and fouls committed).
