The SU Media Guide says his streak was 34, tied with Mike Lee in 1971-72. I checked the 2011-12 Media Guide and it doesn't list a record for consecutive free throws at all. I looked at the box scores for that year's games, (also in the Media Guide). Triche went: 3 for 4 vs. Georgetown on 2/9/11 3 for 3 vs. Louisville on 2/12/11 4 for 4 vs. West Virginia 2/14/11 9 for 9 vs. Rutgers 2/19/11 2 for 2 vs. Villanova 2/21/11 6 for 6 vs. Georgetown 2/26/11 2 for 2 vs. DePaul 3/5/11 8 for 8 vs. St. John's 3/10/11 0 for 0 vs. Connecticut 3/11/11 3 for 4 vs. Indiana State 3/18/11 if you add up the totals from Louisville to Connecticut, they total 34 for 34. Amazingly, the play-by-play for the 2/9 Georgetown game still exists on ESPN's site: Georgetown vs. Syracuse - Play-By-Play - February 9, 2011 - ESPN It shows Triche missed the firs tof two free throws at 19:49 of the second half, made the second and made too more at 4:08. Strangely, ESPN doesn't have the play by play for the Indiana State NCAA game. But the article you linked said that Brandon missed the first of two at 15:23 of the second half. They were probably his first free throws of the game. Making the last three in the 2/9 Georgetown game would thus have given him 37 in a row. Whoever put the consecutive free throw information in the subsequent media guides must have just counted the games where he was perfect.
