There it is...Camping World Bowl

This could be a fun game! Great season! Exciting times!

Yeah this is the best possible outcome. Congrats to the coaches/players/families. Really great stuff. I hope Grier plays. He’s a real talent and would be nice to see him play and have all hands on deck. Him and Dungey both playing would be awesome.

lol - there is literally nothing right now (9:20 PM EDT) on the Camping World Bowl website that mentions either of the two teams that will be playing. Oh sure, you can buy tickets, but you'd think on their biggest day of the year (other than the game day itself) they could have told an intern "Oh, yeah. You might want to update the site since we announced the teams today."

This is cool. Some good buzz being generated around the bowl. Yahoo rates it the #5 best bowl matchup

Ranking the 2018 bowl games 1-39: Alabama-Oklahoma is No. 1

5. Camping World Bowl: No. 20 Syracuse (9-3) vs. No. 16 West Virginia (9-3) – 5:15 p.m., Dec. 28, ESPN
This game is in the top five because we’re banking on a ton of points. And West Virginia’s Will Grier, Gary Jennings and David Sills playing in the team’s bowl game. If West Virginia’s star offensive players decide to skip the game we’d understand and drop the game outside our top 10. But we’re hoping for a matchup between Grier and Syracuse’s Eric Dungey, two guys who have been some of the most productive college football quarterbacks over the past couple seasons.

Sad trombone at ESPN.

(5:15 p.m. ET on ESPN at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida)
A Big East rivalry is renewed with two fun-loving coaches -- Dana Holgorsen and Dino Babers -- who love to sling the ball around. Senior quarterbacks Will Grier (WVU) and Eric Dungey (Syracuse) both put up big numbers but Grier and his receivers will be the difference in a high-scoring game.

Prediction: West Virginia 48, Syracuse 45

This is crazy. Any fool can see it's Syracuse 48, West Virginia 45.

A little Alaska humor right there!

Fantastic result and really happy for the seniors that their hard work was rewarded. I had this sinking feeling we’d get hosed but nice to see it all work out.

So can we now remove the bowl selection process off our ACC bias paranoia and just leave officiating, tv announcers,, tv ads, tv time slots, schedule making on the list? Incidentally, all of which we complained about in the Big East. Well except for the commercials, which is ridiculous to begin with. You guys do know how to work a remote to change the channel if they bother you that much, right?

For now. We must, however, remain eternally vigilant lest the powers of mighty Carolina threaten us again.
