.. And SU! These kids trust and respect their Coach, and the more people come for him, the harder they play for him and each other. One of the intangibles we can't overlook, and it's major. Me personally, I love the focus on defense.. We said the Vegas and Tenn games were going to tell us what we have, and even with the L's... They have. I will take this type of preseason schedule any day over cupcakes. They've seen top defenses, played against different offensive styles and players.. and 7 games in, these pups are growing up. Carrey was a beast.. looked like he was 35, but while he did his thing, no one else was really allowed to get on track. I noticed more of an awareness regarding the launching of threes with a more deliberate effort to attack the rim and making the extra pass.

Team oozes heart, toughness and fight. I'm gonna role with this group for the season! Win, lose I'm gonna root hard for my team, coach and some of you all 😃, then let the dust settle at the end of the season. Peace! I'm amped right now!

Yeah, when you play Barnes/Tenn it's going to be a physical, ugly game that most of the time you're going to have to win with effort. This team scrapped from start to finish. Nice W. Let's hope it's the start of something.

The players like Red. Red's a good recruiter and we have good NIL now. Importantly Red has the correct idea as to how to play -- I 100% agree with him there. I'm hoping he can like read books or something on x's and o's and become more of a chess player. If he can drastically improve that, he'll be good. Not sure if that's something that can be improved quickly. The substitutions and feel for the game should come eventually. But he definitely needs to get smarter about what to do in game.

I'm sorry I know this wasn't intended to be funny and I really have nothing to add but I just wanted to say this actually made me LOL

Not sure we win last night if it wasn’t for Vegas.
You see what the Duke and UNC losses did for that Kansas team down Peterson so this is a fair statement. Bring the same focus and intensity every night they did for 7 of the last 8 halves of basketball and 90 pct of the rest of the year is going to feel like a much less arduous task in winning enough to make the tourney.

In the last few timeouts Red and the coaches huddled on the floor for quite a while before Red sat down with the players. It looked like they were making a group decision. Then during the last two timeouts it looked like this guy with the whiteboard was sitting next to Red and explaining the play to the kids. Anyone know who that was?

I told you. Pete Corasaniti. And he IS an assistant coach now as well as the Director of Basketball Operations. He sits next to the coach every game. Everyone agree with me?

The nice thing about last night's great win is that I'm actually excited for the next five "cupcake" games. If we blew that game, and were 4-4 with absolutely nothing to hang our hat on, it would feel like five dentist appointments. Now, we should be 10-3 (knock on wood) with genuine momentum going into conference play. Just can't have any shocking losses to mid-majors like it feels like we have had every year during the downturn.
