I guess we will never beat that record for a home game.

I think it was 76,802 the post had in their box score.

That was a great crowd. Had we been able to actually be competitive it would have gotten REAL fun inside MetLife.

It's a record for a college game at MetLife.

30 minutes before kick-off I would have been happy to see a crowd of 59,000. Once the first quarter got underway the stadium filled up quite nicely and I was pleasantly surprised to see as much orange in the crowd as I did. 76,802 seemed about right. Crap officials and our typical inconsistent play aside it was a great experience. My first time at MetLife and even though our seats were located on the 300 level behind an end zone the view was fine.

I agree, I was in Lot E at 5pm, it was packed. The stadium was packed. It was also my first time at Metlife, and I really did enjoy the atmosphere, there was a buzz, folks were excited. Its too bad we couldnt play mistake free football.

I got to the game at 6 and parked by 7 at the racetrack. I couldnt believe how many people showed up. Definitely more Orange than I thought there would be, especially with all the Sullivans and O'Shanahans I saw tailgating as we sat in traffic weaving throughout the parking lots.

it was a big, great, crowd. a lot of Orange.

i realize a lot of people who didnt go, are trying to downplay the numbers and ND likely had more, but not by much. the brief moments where the stupidblue, im mean the grey...screw it i give up, gave us something to cheer for...it was equally loud.

with all the advertising going on plus the ticket sales, it doesnt take a genius to realize the school probably cashed a 5mm check.

fwiw: the jets put in 78,260 yesterday.

they will want us back.
