JACKY LEE (July 11, 1938 – May 2, 2016) 6-1 189 quarterback
They say that the back-up quarterback is the most popular guy in town. If that’s true, Jacky Lee must have been a very popular guy. Jacky started out as George Blanda’s back-up in Houston, then got a chance to start in Denver, where he wasn’t all that popular after going 2-8 as a starter with 11 TD passes and 20 interceptions, (for the worst team in the league). After a couple of years there he was briefly back in Houston before becoming Len Dawson’s back-up in Kansas City. He wound up playing on 3 AFL championship teams and a Super Bowl ring while throwing most of his passes on the sideline.
