We stole that game.

We got abused on the glass.

Baye goal tended in two ways...block was obvious goal tend AND his hand went through the net.

Team has a lot of work to do. We don't shoot well enough to be a Final Four team; if that doesn't improve, we are toast.

I'll gladly take the W, but I really don't think that they deserved to win.

The rebounding was brutal, and for at least the 3rd game in a row, the outside shooting has been poor. Today, many of the misses were wide open looks, which is worrisome

Even if that final shot went in (I admit I haven't seen a replay) the score would have only been tied, and we'd get the ball with 8 or 9 secs to work a final posession. JB would have called a TO to set-up the play, and I like our chances in that situation.

Perspective: we won a game against a quality team, despite all of those things you mention, playing without a starter.

A starter who is probably the team's MIP, because he single handedly helps address all three of the team's major deficiencies--post defense, rebounding, and inside scoring.

Again, WVU is a solid team--this was a good win.

Oh, I agree...it was a good win on paper. In reality, the past few games have exposed some flaws. Some of them will be helped if/when Fab comes back. Not sure our shooting and rebounding will improve too much with Fab.

Agree for the most part--our flaws are all DEFINITELY exacerbated with Fab not playing. But I absolutely think that our rebounding will improve with Fab back. So will our offensive "balance" to a certain extent -- not that Fab is a big inside scorer, but he gives us a post threat, plus he's a good screener, and teams having to account for him inside opens things up a bit for guys on the perimeter.

Fab also is a threat on the pick and roll. Also, our wings' d will improve because they can fan out to the shooters more. Now, they are pinching in to help inside. I'm just starting to think we are not a good shooting and rebounding team. Every team has strengths and weaknesses. Our strengths are depth and defense (with Fab) and transition.
