I can not deny that March Madness has lost most of its luster for me this year. However, here's some events we can all unite around for the next few weeks:

  • Georgetown losing to a double digit seed once again. All their fans know it is going to happen and it will likely be ugly! Can't wait to see HOyas cry an little John look clueless
  • Rooting for the Cinderella: Belmont and Murray State play fast and furious. Both can advance. Louisianna Tech, Iona could be dangerous. Rooting for all 12 and higher seeds!
  • Kentucky to lose. This one is obvious but it would be devastating to the fanbase, especially the fat hairy guy with the leg tattoo. Teams like Zona, Wiconsin, Duke, UVA or Iowa State could do it. 2nd round 8/9 game could be the time to get them (Dayton, Ohio State, NC State, VCU or the Johnnies could do it)
  • Some of the old Big East. I'll be rooting for Providence, West Virginia and St. Johns. I don't think I will root for Nova but matchups may determine. Got o love Huggy Bear and would be great if WVU can get Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen.
  • BYU: again an offensively minded team which plays 100 mph due to pent up sexual desires which can't be fulfilled until marriage. They won't win but who doesn't love Mormons.
  • Maryland to lose in 1st round. Just don't like them
  • Gonzaga to advance far. Few is a good coach and they play a fun brand of basketball. Would b nice to see them make a run.
  • Utah and West Virginia in the same regional. Local bars will do a hell of a business with Huggy Bear and Krystkowiak.
  • Early losses for Duke, UVA, UNC, Wisconsin an of course Kentucky. If we can't hav fun, no one should.
  • Uconn to lose to arch rival South Florida in their tiny little conference tournament first round game. I think ESPN the Ocho is covering! Ha Ha
Cuse!

I'm pretty bitter, so I hope for TV ratings to be low. Having mid majors win will help with that.

As for the big basketball schools, I'll root for UVA, St. Johns, Providence, and maybe Miami if they make it.

Someone in another thread suggesting having protests outside of the Carrier Dome during the tourney games there. I would love to see that. If you live near Syracuse and want to get yourself on TV. Here's your chance.

I find it easy to root against our old BE rivals, but don't mind Villanova at all for some reason. I will probably pull for them. I'll be picking Kentucky to win it all on my sheet of integrity, but would love nothing more that to see them lose.
It's funny how time and age changes some things, but not others. I don't "hate" Duke as much as I used to, don't like UNC as much as I used to, but my hatred for UCONN and GTOWN is as strong as ever.

I'll be honest I won't watch much of it. Rooting for Wisconsin but no one is beating kentucky

^This.

I think my stomach will get upset every time I see that blue NCAA logo on every court of every game of the tournament!

Some miracle happens and we get to play in the acc tournament.

Somebody knocks off Kentucky with a buzzer beater, and Bill Raftery gets to yell "ONIONS" in Jim Nantz' ear.

here's someone you guys can root for along with me. My college buddy Billy Coen is head coach at Northeastern and they play William and Mary tommorow night (monday) for the CAA championship and an invite to the big dance.

He has been there almost 10 years leading a revival of their program, GREAT GREAT person, good coach and balanced leader who does things the right way. He hired another friend of mine and his (his mentor and former college coach) Tom Murphy who just also happens to be good friends with JB over the years. Coach Murphy led our Alma mater Hamilton college for over 30 years with a .700 winning percentage, many championships and tons of all americans.

He was unceremoniously let go years back now because they couldn't handle prosperity and deemed him too old, and that's when Billy hired him for his knowledge and guidance. Together they have led the Huskies to the precipice of their first tourney invite in almost 25 years. This is a Cinderalla to root for. GO HUSKIES!

William & Mary making the tournament. They won a thriller today 91-90 in 2 OT, coming back from 8 down with 5 min to go. If they win tomorrow, they go to the tournament for the first time in its 322 years of existence. That has to be worth rooting for, right? Go Tribe!!!
