Can't play freshmen when down 17, cant get into transition when the other team doesn't make shots, can't run an offense when you need to score quickly...every bad situation is the direct result of the previous thing failing. All the things every fan wanted to see were surely in the fold, but I don't think anyone saw Cincy going 8-10 from 3 and taking SU out of their game plan of playing even in the half court, and winning the game in transition. Credit where credit is due: Cincy made some really big shots in the first half, but so did SU in crunch time...lot to be learned, lot to be rested and lot to be corrected. They'll be ing hungry.

True, but there were many things that put SU into FT-making desperation that were a direct result of Cincy's hot start...without that start, the FTs don't really matter. Regardless, they should have been made...BT seemed to rush a little bit with his FTs.

The zone usually tries to push them out a bit, but too many of those looks tonight were spot jumpers. I'd be willing to bet they went 2-23 the other night because they weren't catch-and-shoot. 80% sounds ridiculous but they were uncontested for the most part and quite frankly we've been spoiled by mediocre shooting teams that cannot convert those opportunities.

JB also waited too long to crank up the energy and tempo on defense. Down 17 vs USF they went trunk monkey with 10 minutes left in the 1st half. Tonight he waited until the 2nd half. Too late when you're trying to climb out of that kind of hole.
