This felt like a GRob game.

Felt Like Robinson Era Tonight.

All That Was Missing Were The All Orange Unis.

Really Disappointed.

And Dumbfounded.

I never felt like it was grob-ish until last night. That was horrible.

We've had quite a few gerg moments the last couple seasons. Georgia Tech says wassup.

Didn't GROB beat Louisville with Andrew Robinson throwing for like 500 yards??

This is definitely the gRob era part deux. We are going nowhere as a program. Regional programs are beating us for recruits routinely - Penn State, Rutgers, Pitt... Somehow our fans like to be a bit delusional about the reality of our program. Well, reality is hitting hard.

Get rid of Shafe, pay a big-name coach like Tressels or someone, and turn things around already. I don't know what the school is doing, but what it looks like is that they are settling for mediocrity or worse. They seem to think "oh we're in the ACC so no worries, we'll get our paycheck". Maybe they figure we are doing our part with hoops so why bother with football. whatever it is, our football program is deep in the shitter.

Think ECU would be in for a straight up trade in coaching staffs?

This felt like November 2011

Hopeless offense, tough guy coach that gives up, boring as hell

Offensive dysfunction. Having an overrated team beat us around at home. Double digit loss. Game over by halftime.

You are discounting Lville too much. Team lost three games the prior two years. Lots of talent on there.

This was always going to be an ugly game.

This aint the Big East anymore. We need to upgrade in a hurry or we will only win our FCS and MAC games going forward. Wake will be a tossup for cellar dweller.

Went 2-2 against UofL in 4 years. And only one of the losses was a blowout.

Disagree. Lville qb qas terrible. Just need to pressure him and he folds. Our defense held on as long as possible but the offensive ineptitude is just killing us

That's an excuse for the product being put on the field. There was so much wrong with the game last night that had nothing to do with whether UL is a good team or not. And it's not just this game, this is just one of many at this point. There are so many things wrong at this point and it seemed like last night almost all of them reared their ugly head.

UL is talented and has a good coach but win or lose, our trajectory is heading downwards pretty quickly.

Guess we watched different games. The D was almost as bad for many parts of the game as the O. Some of the issues were D play calling and leaving guys WIDE open but when the announcers start counting missed tackles, there is a problem.

The UL QB was not terrible.

My dad has been saying it for years. We need the name and the Name who can come in andimmediately recruit. I've always defended the hires, but now I swung to my father's camp. We don't have time for 3 and 4 year experiments with coaches. At this rate if we clean house, it'll be another 5 to 6 years making it almost 20 years of ineptitude. It's all about the hires.

Obviously the missed tackles could be improved on but what do you expect from a d that is constantly on the field and has no momentum because the offense sucks.

The lville qb may be worse than hunt. He made one nice throw to a bunch of terrible ones. I cant see how anyone can say he was anything but terrible. I guarantee you that kid gets recruited over.

Problem is that big "name" coaches and even hot up and comers won't come here. We found that out when Marrone was hired, those types of coaches were asked and all turned it down.

Why does nobody remember this? Holtz (Thank God), Edsall and a host of others said no...and you think we can get a big name "splash" type hire?

Give me a suggestion of who you think we can get?

It's not an excuse. It's a fact. And I'm in no way dismissing that there are issues. You must not read the board much if you think I'm oblivious to the issues with this team.

But before people go too far off the deep end, ND is undefeated, Lville has one loss 2pt road loss in conference and an excellent defense, Maryland one loss 3pt FG at the gun loss to WVU and a dynamic offense and a defense that keeps points off the board.

Nova might be the best team in 1-AA.

This schedule has been exponentially harder than last year.

ND is much better than PSU was last year.

Nova much, much, much, much better than Wagner

CMU a wash with Tulane

UMd much, much, better than Northwestern.

It's been harder than I thought it would be, and I was saying it was very difficult months ago.

The book is out, if you take away the run, they aren't efficient enough in the pass game to beat you. They can hit bit chunk plays at a pretty good clip, but not string them together, convert 3rd downs, and in the redzone collectively lose their minds.

^^^ Extremely accurate assessment of the current situation facing this team.

EDIT: It doesn't make me want to jump off a building any less.
