This is a bad team right now

People think the team is shot because we couldn't overcome spotting 17 to tennessee in the first quarter of the season. The refusal to acknowledge the teams played even the rest of the game is odd.
The team is clearly a work in progress. Not close to their full potential. I for one can have hope they can become a finished product which I believe is at least a top 25 caliber team. As a fan base, we are used to not getting better and even regressing throughout the season, so I get people being prepared to not be disappointed and take it as it is. I’m just saying that this team can really come together and compete with and beat anyone as long as they continue to gel with one another better. There is unprecedented speed and unprecedented size on this team.

We're 2-1. Pretty much everyone thought we'd be 2-1 at this point. I don't care about nominal rankings of certain stats or the point spread or preseason pick. Ws and Ls are the important stats. If we go 2-1 in every 3 game stretch of the season, we're 8-4.

123 in rush offense

123 in sacks allowed

122 in total defense

104 in rush defense

120 in pass defense

106 in scoring defense

It’s 2016 again.
Reminds me of some years before that where we had coaches who have no business being the defensive coordinator because they go way back and were from the right part of the right state

Syracuse loses a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball after a really good season and somehow many expect them to be as good as the previous season. Just doesn't work that way at Syracuse. They were never going to be as good as last year and the defense stunk last year with more talent.

The 3 best years 2012, 2018, 2024 all had really good seniors that we simply can't replace the next year.

Most teams havent even played a P4 opponent yet this year and most of them that did it was at home.
How can most teams only have played a P4 team at home when the P4 team they would be playing at home had to go on the road to play them? That statement is inherently impossible.

Unfortunately we aren’t playing U Conn and Colgate two out of every three games the rest of the season. But I would be willing to petition the ACC to allow that

Let me explain these things called neutral site games they do sometimes. I can break out a map for you and print out some mapquest directions showing how far a drive it is for Tennessee fans down to Atlanta. Maybe you saw on TV that was the wrong color Orange 90% of the fans were wearing too.

with 102nd ranked schedule... that is baddddd
Where did you see this #? I'm actually interested because at preseason it was top 10 schedule. Obviously pretty much on our schedule except GTech and Miami have dropped some eggs though.

We may not be very good at this point, but most of the league looks mediocre as well.
Miami and FSU seem to be in a class by themselves. I'm not sold on Georgia Tech as a playoff team, but they're obviously very good. Clemson, I thought they were back to 2015-2020 Clemson, but I guess not.

Pitt, BC and UNC are all winnable. SMU, Clemson, GT and Notre Dame will be tough but could sneak one of those, just wish one was at home. Miami is probably not in the cards.

So I guess we’re due in 2030?

I think they should be better the next couple years but replacing what we lost and with the schedule I just don't see a ton of success with regard to wins/ losses this year. I think it's a 3-4 win type team.

Split the following Duke, BC, Pitt, UNC and the rest will be losses, IMO. That said, a split of those 4 games might be a reach if the team doesn't improve. Just my 2 cents and people can predict 6 wins and that's fine but I am not holding out much hope.

6 wins is still attainable. Just have to beat Duke, NC, BC, Pitt. Likely? No, but they are all at home.
