This is Exactly Why

This effort today is bull$&&. It really worries me that when BAbers was talking to the press this week he basically waved the white flag. I think that is a horrible thing to say mid week well we are going to probably lose..way to instill confidence.

Yeah. That was it.

If he had REALLY raised the white flag, he would have kept ED out of the game from the start, and played Mahoney/Wilson, as some posters hoped for.

We played scared from the get go. Look at BAbers press conference again from this week. He acts like we have no shot well kids lack of effort shows today on the field. No reason not to be competitive at least.
Random question...are you typing it as "BAbers" on purpose for some reason or is it just autocorrect? I only ask because you've done it multiple times in separate posts.

An A-Team guy, I assume.

Might be it for him. If I'm his parents would never let him play again. Too many concussions and now every hit he takes is dangerous
Earlier this season I read somewhere that Dungey's father contacted the SU athletic dept. and challenged the notion that a 3 strikes and your out concussion rule really exists. The athletic dept. came back and admitted that he was correct, it doesn't exist, or to maybe put it another way, it's not mandatory. In any case it exemplifies his dad's thinking that he wants ED to have his chance to play football.

Thank you team doctor, for your diagnosis. Had no idea that you were also a poster on this forum. Good to know.
Grew up in family of docs and a neurologist. Asked them opinion on football and concussions. They are seeing more and more of this even at young ages as kids get faster
, bigger etc...You disagree with all of this?

I think it's trying to get the B capitalized and then the A sticks. It does it to me occasionally. If you go with it once, autocorrect never forgets, ever.

You drive a car knowing there's a risk of accident. You play football knowing there's a risk of injury.

It's really not that difficult.

If somebody makes the decision to play this game knowing the risks, who are you to question it?

It's not even common knowledge what his injury history is, it's conjecture.

If ERIC DUNGEY, first and foremost, and his family, decide it's what they want to do, so be it.

Worry about yourself. It gets so tiresome reading, listening to and seeing people who believe their opinions are what others should subscribe to.

Spot on. We seemingly have a board full of sports docs who thoroughly evaluated him after the game and have access to all of his medical records. Let's let the pros along with his parents make decisions about the kid's health.

I do not disagree with the data on concussions at all and IF he did get one yesterday I think it's up to him, and his family to decide his future. Or maybe he only got a stinger and people are overreacting.

Too much running by Dungey. I think the play should have been targeting, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome. We won't see Dungey again today. He looked spacey from the start. Today was not his day.

Why didn't the coaches tell him to slide, slide slide and try not to be a hero?

Clemson fans said the same thing during the Tajh Boyd years and during certain games with Watson. Problem is the running is what makes these guys so dangerous and part of what makes the offense go. These kids are competitive and want to win. You may be able to limit the play calling on designed runs but you cant stop a kid from pulling it down and running. Its part of who they are and how they play.

First game in my history as a fan that I turned off and didnt finish watching.

I commend your masochism. I crossed that bridge during the GRob era Big East game of the week Dave Sims suicide squad games.

I said pray for no injuries.

Let me clear this up once and for all. The creator never responds to prayers for one simple reason. The Universe and all things, living and otherwise, were created as a science project. To interfere by answering prayers would invalidate the results. Thus, unanswered prayers. :)
