Whenever the official goes to the monitor for ten minutes I expect it to go against us. My biggest issue tonight was the first half the officials called absolutely nothing and the second half they called everything.

I listened on WAER. They thought the ball was clearly off of Buddy. They did think the two non calls on GT shots to the heads of Cuse players were bad.

So, it’s a weird thing about the play where frank got swiped in the eye and fell to the floor. Technically, since a foul wasn’t called, shouldn’t that have been a travel?

I agree it went off Buddy but the bigger issue is why and how he got the ball. Joe should never have passed it there. Buddy was doubled. Why do we have Symir on the floor if he is not going to handle the ball??

The jump ball call with 3 seconds left was far worse. That was a rebound and a foul.

Joe dribbled in to a double team and then picked up his dribble. Then he passed Buddy in to a double team. It was the dumbest basketball I have seen in forever. Not really, because this group does it all the time.

Uh, it is NOT Joe's fault he's being played at PG for 95% of his time on court.

He is NOT a PG.

He's a perfectly cromulent combo guard.

IF we had ANYBODY else who could handle & also make FT's if/when fouled, then that guy should be involved in those situations.

Sadly, last I checked, we do not.

The play should have never happened if 1-Buddy doesn't allow himself to get trapped in a corner and 2-he protects the ball to the point they have to foul him to get it.

If it took that long to come up with a foul on the hack And The ball goes out of bounds with 20 sec left...and the call on the floor was Syr ball...it should have stood...by taking that much time. ...it was not conclusive...they guessed and went against the closest ref who called it for Syr

I'ma say - yes.

It's irrelevant what the call on the floor was.
They reviewed it, and anybody could see it went off Buddy's shin, then outta bounds.

The one angle kinda/sorta looked like it might've hit the GT player's knee after Buddy's shin, but the angle that clearly showed it going off his shin did NOT look like it then went off the other dude's knee.

It was the correct call.

The 'closest ref' got it wrong.
Which is fine, that's why there is video review.
