this is our 2nd best acc team

Did Woody hurt himself on his last drive? Looked like he was limping and then got pulled.
Yeah, the refs blew the play dead as soon as we got the ball back so we could get him out.

Anyone hear if JB said anything in his presser?

We may be very good. I still have concerns about teams that pressure the ball. They will give us trouble..and likely where we'll need Kadary to step up. But we have a lot of people who can help out against pressure. Fun team to watch when they get going. Sidibe needs to get healthy, we'll need him against most ACC teams.

2014 then this team. we’ll be ranked in a month and easily make the tournament. we woulda beat rutgers with buddy.

griffin may be a chucker, but i really like his game. very smooooooth

Good chance I’ll end up agreeing with you. But I definitely need to see more first. BC is 1-5 (albeit against a challenging schedule).

Fun team to watch for sure. It's great to see kids with BBIQ who can pass and shoot AND are willing to pass. This team has a lot more potential than we have seen for the last few years.

But...The real issue for this team is going to be how they play against teams with good bigs who can score inside and bigs who can defend at the rim. Rebounding is also going to be a major factor against bigger teams.

Sid's return will definitely help. I think the defense will eventually determine how good this team is.

I think our offense will have to win us games some nights but we have way more balance and talent than we have in a while. The issue is going to be, and this is a carryover, is teams we play poorly on offense against who simply shoot it lights out. Kadary on defense as much as offense is going to be the key as well Sid being who he was down the stretch last year. Much higher ceiling than the last 3 years that is for sure.

I like that we have seen two games already like Bucknell last year while being much more competitive in the RU game vs PSU/Ok st/ iowa last year.

BC's game plan, especially after having the benefit of watching what Rutgers did to SU, was, um, interesting. I realize they don't have the bigs other than Karnik. But if you are going to play with essentially 4 guards, you better play on the ball pressure defense the entire game and take your chances with our guards being able to beat you off the dribble.

I would like to see better ball security. Still too many dribbles getting poked away and too many lackadaisical passes. BC didn't make us pay too much, but it cost us against Rutgers as it will against the better teams in ACC. Clean that up and this should be a very solid team.

Spot on. Also teams that can pound the ball inside. We need one of the young centers to step up.

They actually tried at times but they weren't able to have the impact they had hoped as we handled it well and got buckets off their pressure as well.

Could be. Very early. Lot of roster flexibility which is nice. Still like to see our centers get more run in first halves. None are complete liabilities. With the scoring around them it’s not a big issue if we are not getting production from that spot. Woody so far is much more of a scoring threat than I expected. Quincy’s respectable outside shot as well. Both are big developments for me.

I’m honestly unsure if anyone on BC has ever been coached on how to defend a cutter. That was something.

i don't want to jump to conclusions just yet, but this team might be one of the best shooting teams SU has ever had. and if that's the case you can always be dangerous in any game shooting the 3. if sidibe comes back strong and plays like he did late last year it's not out of the realm for a final 4 even this year.

just think. the best case scenario is that every player can stay another 2 years including this year if they wanted to. that seems like very scary thought.

They wouldn't have been able to hang with Nova if they didn't know how to defend cutters. I have no idea what BC was trying to do on D today.

Speaking of cutters, it was impressive to see the number of weakside cutters to the basket today AND the player awareness to look for those cutters and make those passes. The offense today had a different flow than we typically see. I think that speaks to the collective court awareness we can put on the floor.

so crucial when you have so many sharpshooters to be able to use that to twist the knife further...

forcing teams to play tight to buddy, ag and jg3 should mean they must give up other things --- like easy baskets.

the offense should be thnking make the opponent pick their poision.
