Yeah, I'm not sure you're saying this, but this stuff is all BS as far as I'm concerned. I really appreciate and believe Marrone is genuine in his desire to help these kids develop into solid, successful young adults. But, ultimately, he wants to win games and there are going to be plenty of kids that turn out to be bad apples. It happens. I also think it's BS to assume we're getting a good character kid b/c he comes from a good high school, has a good GPA and says the right things in public. Anybody go to school with any lacrosse players? Sport is chock full of kids with terrific pedigrees and abhorrent social behavior.
I'm not judging, but I couldn't really care less how many kids are making the honor roll. It's cool, I'm impressed, but I just think these things tend to ebb and flow.
