This is the absolute perfect game for us to get our mojo back

You can neutralize it any number of ways right? Quick hitters, WR screens, slants, swing passes, TE pop pass, roll outs, jet sweeps.

Love everything on this list except rollouts. I feel like Tommy has this terrible habit of fading too far backwards and make the throw exponentially more difficult on himself. I'm sure that will get better with experience.

and our QB gets the ball out in under 3 Mississippi's

He can't always throw sideways to the sideline. We have to mix in some quick slants to the slot receiver, or target the TE over the middle. The coach has to be more creative with his calls, given the challenges of a terrible offensive line.

If there was ever a game where you went play action deep on first play, this is it. They play a ton of press man and will not respect ability to throw down field (nor should they with the time TD gets back there).

Could be a big night for Taj with the double teams that go to TJ. Hope he is ready and he wasn’t all talk.

Tommy's greatest strength is the accuracy of his deep ball (although he does underthrow a few). So, yes, play action on first down is a good idea.

Rob Moore vigorously agrees with you!

I think Pitt will start aggressive, hit them with a jailbreak screen...wide side...gets the ball out of TDs hand quick and little burden on blocking the blitz for the line.

I wish mojo was the issue. Not convinced it is.

I get the OP, but really, any win is a good win right now.

Got to find a way to get 6. Home wins are crucial.

If we don't get it tonight my night is still salvageable though. I'm catching Gary Gulman's new late night set at a comedy club after the game is over.
Gary Gulman was great, FYI. One of the best there is.
