Just read that DePaul was playing my neighborhood kids from Fairfield U in something called the Cancun Challenge tonight.

I thought, that's kind of cool for the kids from Fairfield. An all-expenses-paid trip to Cancun.

Then I read it was being played in Rosemont, IL... in DePaul's gym!

Maybe we should have a tourney at the Dome ... and call it by the name of some exotic locale. Maybe no one will realize it is in Syracuse!

Yes... I believe it is similar to some of the tournaments that we have played in the past...

DePaul hosts a game or 2 or 3 than moves on to Cancun regardless of the outcomes.

Speaking of Siracusa there is a really good pizza joint about 1.5 miles from my house called siracusa's. it's awesome, the owners are from cuse and show all the cuse games on the big screen.

Hey, as someone said last week... NY State touches the Atlantic Ocean...which touches every other ocean and, eventually, every sea. And this water system touches every country that that has a shorefront (e.g, Italy)... or a river that eventually runs into the sea (which would include such landlocked countries as Hungary, Slovak Republic and Austria). We played Fairfield at the Dome in 12/86. We had DC1, Sherman, Seikaly, Triche 1, Roe, Stevie Thompson, Rodney Walker and a slew more who played. Greg Monroe was the top scorer. We beat them by less then 20 points. There were 20,000 in attendance.

Who needs exotica when Fairfield comes calling at the Dome.

Hey they could call it the Carrier classic and eveybody would assume it's being staged on an aircraft carrier. When they found out it wasn't they would scream how SU stole the name/concept.
