SOS is flawed. If you play a team ranked 225 hurts you much less than beating. a team ranked 300. We got unlucky this year as cornell Binghamton and st Francis ext have had horrible years.

Boeheim has done a masterful job last few years avoiding teams over 200 rpi which inflated our rpi. Its a joke. It helped us in the past and is hurting us his year

Agreed. I think it's important enough to play NYS teams and usually they aren't this bad.

Next year should be better. @ Nova, SJU, @ B1G, preseason tournament. Would like to get another big OOC home game though. SJU does nothing to excite our fans.

Compare the # of top 25, top 50 and top 100 games... much better indication of SOS when comparing teams.

For example the numbers for us and Nova are almost exactly the same in terms of the # of 25, 50, 100 games. We have 2 more sub 100 games, and more sub 250 teams... and it makes for a big difference in SOS - 20ish vs 60ish.

But I honeslty don't think the choice would be made by simply comparing the overall record of the two, and saying Nova has a tougher SOS, so it should be ahead. They have to dissect quality ganes,
