As a football fan, this year has been extremely entertaining.
As a coach, it has been the worst season of my life.
Watching Syracuse, though, has been a breath of fresh air. Regardless of the downs, like WF, it's obvious there's a clear plan in place. The future of Syracuse football is so exciting. There's a blueprint in place for success. The only enemy is time. Time to keep our HC, and time to properly build that vision.
Tomorrow might not go as expected or hoped, but, I'm so excited to see what we can do against one of the best teams college football has to offer. We're getting regular cracks at teams atop the polls, how awesome is that? A top-10 opponent in the Big-East came up occasionally, but, never with this much consistency. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but never really ranked this high either except for maybe an odd year here or there.
Hope for competitiveness. Hope for success. Hope for growth. Look for the positives, because they surround us.
