Just a bunch of individuals, look at assists #s this game. It lousy. The stats dont lie. And go back to biggest shot of season- Gillon hit one on three dookies, tremendous shot, thank god he made it! But go back and watch replay closely, TB was wide open next to him. He could have got him the ball with 3 secs left and TB would have had wide open 3 instead of miracle bank one on three. Same thing at end of of regulation 1st ul loss w a chance to win. No pass by Gillon. And White at end of ot, no pass. Hope they figure out how to come together as a team and make extra pass (ala end of clemson game) more consistently before post season. Go Cuse

Louisville on the other hand has Donovan Mitchell currently projected as a mid-2nd round draft pick next year and that's it. We were dominated by a better-coached, more fundamentally sound basketball team.

The "talent" this team has is vastly overrated. Rebounding is a talent . We have none. Passing is a talent ... we are quite poor at passing as a team ... dribbling is a talent ... we have 1.5 guys who can actually dribble to save their lives

This team can shoot from outside well.. that's the talent we have .. that's it ... and the fact that we are even on the bubble tells you how important that talent is

See this is why missing open shots doesnt explain this teams mediocre record (by SU standards). I get it in some losses we have shot poorly, of course. But the stats say this is (by SU standards) an above average shooting team. But the record is still below average for SU standards. Imo its a lack of cohesion on both offense and defense and yes as Eric said above - not that fundamentally sound on both ends of the court. Hey maybe they can make strides on these slight issues before ncaas. Last yrs team did!

They clearly have some talent. Ie White was evaluated by nba last year. Most players never get that far. In all likelihood TL would get drafted this year and TB this year or year after. Thats more talent than many teams on or inside the bubble!

It really is miraculous that we are even in the position we are. The shots, the comebacks, all crazy situations that went our way.
Forreal. I think our last 5 wins we were down by 6+ in the 2nd half.

We could easily be 12-18.

[QUO

so you would say very little talent on this team. Do you see TL and TB in nba some day? Just curious!
you are complaining that Gillon didn't pass to Battle at the end of the Duke game.

Could be added to OP that there are maybe two guys with any basketball IQ.

Whatever the talent level, it exceeds the smarts.

No i clearly said thank god he made that shot! But it doesnt mean it was a hi percentage shot and that strategy will work consistently.

Let me ask you this, do you think he meant to bank it? And go rewatch the replay, TB was wide open with 3,2,1 secs left.

One last question, when TL made the extra pass at the buzzer against clemson, did TB bank it in? ;-)
