Read. What I said was that on more than one try, we couldn't get 1 yard against Nova when we needed it. As for our talent, yeah, we have a little more than we had before but with this schedule, it gets negated. We aren't good enough.

My point, in what you're saying, is that it isn't for lack of talent. It's poor coaching. The inability to get 1 yard against Nova screams coaching, to me.

There's talent there. The problem is that a lot of it is really young. Our line play this season, injury or coaching related, was atrocious. Difficult to be a productive offense with an 18 yr old and two RFr are running for their lives. Even Hunt had to make more happen on his feet than you'd like, inaccurate or not.

Defense was not bad this year. Offense was epically bad. And there's 256 reasons why, coaching and players included. But everything was compounded by poor play and injuries, as well as periodically poor game planning and calling.

Tell that to all the other college teams playing freshman scoring more points than us. It's college, kids come directly from H.S. We act like no other teams have had injuries, had key players hurt when we played them, or played freshman.

Coaching matters, and it isn't just confined to punting decisions and play calling. Good coaching puts players in positions that maximize their talents and abilities. Bad coaching puts players in situations to fail.

With the exception of DL and LB, Syracuse has bad coaching up and down.

I've heard that excuse every year since Marrone started. We didn't hear that excuse during Grob because it was apparent we just really sucked. I think most people are getting to that point again after this season. Marrone did more with way less overall talent and all of the injuries. We also never got @ss pounded in multiple games in one season against teams you claim are our peers and are only slightly better than us.

nope my point went right over your head. No matter the coach we would of been lucky to make a bowl this year unless the coach was able to keep hunt healthy

it was competitive until the last td in late 3rd early 4th and we were not likely to comeback but ass beating to me is GT last year or Clemson or fsu last year

7 points in back to back weeks against peer programs might be worse than getting blown out by Clemson or FSU...at least those were good teams.
