This week's Lee Corso watch

Lee sounds a little worse this week than normal. Hope it's just a cold or something.

I’m watching, I always loved gameday and always thought Corso made the show, but I think it’s time for him to hang it up.

Best Corso line ever (when he was the head coach at Indiana), "We've got Michigan right where we want 'em, off our schedule."
Another great one by him was when they had the lead against Ohio State for the first time in like 20 years of the Woody Hayes era, he called timeout for a team picture in front of the scoreboard.

I was in school at Indiana University from 1977 to 1981.

Corso was the HC during those years.

He hosted his Sunday morning show and was really good at it - better than he has ever been on College Game Day.

Many thought he was a clown but I really grew to like him and always thought that his teams were well-coached.

He only had one really good season - 1979 - when the Hoosiers beat BYU in the Holiday Bowl.

I still think of him as an IU guy.

What is your affiliation with SU? Coach P’s brother in law? Just curious...

I have a few contacts.

I was born and raised in Syracuse.

My parents were born, raised and lived their entire lives in Syracuse.

My grandfather, my father and my sister graduated from Syracuse University.

I graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law.

My dad began attending Syracuse University Football games in the mid 1930s.

I have been attending games since 1968.

My family has had season tickets since the early 1950s. We have contributed to the Program in various ways since the 1960s.

I personally have been a contributor to the Program for many years and have had season tickets since the 1990s.
