Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

I thought Kyle was surprisingly quick, certainly quick enough for when he would run.
I’m going to have to question that. Just yesterday I was looking at the HS scouting report of Kyle McCord from our board favorite recruiting analyst, Brian Dohn. It is amazingly pretty friggin accurate. Thought it was interesting how even back then his QB play was pegged to a T and is exactly the same now. Also on there was his 40 time of 5.07 seconds from the opening regional.

When he ran out of the pocket for first downs he would pick them up. I'm not sure what else should have been expected.

Ha. That part of it was meant more for AZOrange who said he is a better version of a current NFL 4 year starter at QB.
The stuff about his mobility was directed more to you. I quoted you both in my post so i get the confusion.
I’m not sure what the AZO part means but ok

If he has wide open space, he's quick enough to pick up a few yards, but he lacks the speed and elusiveness to make a guy miss if he needs to beat a defender.

In the NFL I would think he'll have the chance to play behind more consistent olines. Watching tape of Tom Brady doing the subtle little slides in the pocket to avoid pressure and buy time would benefit him.

likely made it up.

apparently the QBs all suck, and yes McCord is the best of the bunch.

Meeks has not stood out yet.

heres one report.

Sounds like a bunch of kids but even so, it sounded positive about McCord, Gadsden and Meeks.

Found this on Meeks

From that write up:

Kyle McCord looks comfortable making throws on the move. Out here styling with accurate side arm angles. Able to improvise and make accurate throws rolling out. McCord clearly the most talented on this group. Whippy release and has a confidence about him. He makes throws and it’s easy for him. Actually was the only guy completing balls down the field. Had a really nice one to KeAndre Lambert-Smith. No doubt he’s the leader and only legit talent in this group.

The description on this clip is accurate. Easily the most impressive QB of the entire practice session including both groups. No surprise based on what we saw all year.

Jackson Meeks looks like he’s moving alright. Caught a screen and did some things with it. Followed it up with a brutal drop that could have led to a pick that would have been on him.

Tight End:

Oronde Gadsen Jr. looks good just moving around out there. No issue with the hands. Looks like he has some gazelle qualities to him. Looks like a matchup nightmare. Who covers that guy? Just as a physical being, he’s impressive. Worth investigating more. Although, he was intriguing during the actual year too.

Just saw Kyle and the SU guys in the E/W Shrine practice #2. Practices are held daily 9:30 to 12:30 until the game on the 30th. Live stream available at this link

For the East, Kyle is wearing his SU number (6) in a red (QB) jersey. Offense (blue jerseys) include Meeks (87) and Gadsden (19). Defense is in white, including Diggs (10) and Cinco (25). Haven't seen Barron, but lots of SU helmets getting reps.

The SU guys all looked like they belonged. Gadsden had some nice routes and catches. Meeks caught a sweet pass over the top on a sideline post in tight coverage. Diggs is playing well, getting penetration and showing his speed. Kyle is running with the East "ones" (along with Meeks and Gadsden). Lots of paeans from the announcers. His passing has been on point. As the day closed, one of the players yelled out, "Kyle mother-ph McCord!". Respect.
