Just rewatched the last 5 minutes of middle tennessee beating sparty. When the buzzer sounded they werent that excited. Usually when theres an upset of that magnitude the team acts like they won the national championship. Which is why usually these cinderella teams get blown out in their next game, they already shocked the world they go nuts and have the inevitable letdown game next. But even their bench acted like "yea we got this". Hopefully they went nuts in the locker room haha

They won relatively easily--by 9 points. There wasn't the elation of a last minute or second win.

I disagree with you Corduroy, usually those teams lose in the 2nd game because lightning doesn't strike twice. Arkansas-Little Rock lose yesterday because they celebrated too much after Purdue -- they lost because Iowa State is a better team.

That said, MTSU isn't a prototypical Cinderella because they have legit talent and can score with 5 guys. Do we have more talent? Yes. Will we win? Who knows. If we don't play well we lose, period. Whoever plays better wins these games

I don't know the stats but I would guess that there are a lot less upsets in the second round. No butterflies and the teams have one game under their belt. At that point usually better talent and better coaching wins.
