Long time lurker, infrequent poster, die hard Syracuse fan.
I religiously read this board (my apostles are JarHead Jim, CTO & bees..lol) I've also tried to get through much of the NCAA findings report.
It sounds like we have a real chance with Bryant (1 in 4 at least)
Obviously there are many moving pieces to this entire penalty perioed we are entering but was hoping that someone in the know could possibly provide a summary regarding the following: Can we even take Bryant at this point? How does this affect our scholarship limits and what would need to happen in order to comply with the scholarship restrictions moving forward*& does taking Bryant take the Tyus Battle scholarship off the table?
I dont have the time at work to sort through it all so I was hoping someone could help a brother out.
Thanks..and GO CUSE!

We can take Bryant.

We can defer to next year to start scholarship limit.

The numbers will work out in order to get Battle.

It's all seemingly up to interpretation on whether or not we can get him.

This is how I and some others have been looking at it:

- If McCullough doesn't go pro, we have room to land Bryant. It might cause some congestion down the road, but if CMac and Bryant go pro on schedule (CMac at the end of next year, Bryant the year after, we're golden)

- If CMac declares for the draft after Bryant commits, we're also fine.

- It CMac declares before Bryant commits, it's a little more sketchy. That would put us down to 10 scholarships and the NCAA might say we have to start the penalty now.

- This all might be moot if/when we file the official appeal. It's my understanding that the appeal would put all penalties on hold, which should leave room for Bryant, regardless.

SU wants him, that's the only thing that is important. I don't get hung up with all the scenarios...

Thank you for all of the feedback, it's much appreciated and the p
