Three plays

For me, that fact that LSU didn't come in here and just pummel us physically, overwhelm us with long time consuming, etc. drives and beat us down is what I find most gratifying. As mentioned specifically above, take away those big plays, and, additionally, that long TD run by Fornette, and that killer 3rd and long conversion where Whigham got burned...who knows...

and let's not forget ron thompson pounding his chest instead of dropping and covering the fumble he just caused.
LOL I don't think he could have got that ball...

Loved the heart and the toughness of our team. And have high hopes for what this might mean for our team the rest of this season and into the next.

But LSU fans could say something along the lines of "well except for these three penalties, we'd have covered the spread."

The truth is always somewhere in between those "three plays" and those "three penalties". ;)

LGO!!!!

Cheers,
Neil

Definitely some tough plays but give LSU credit-- those type of plays happen for good teams because they have good players.

The toss off the potential sack was a tough play but it's one great players make, same with the punt return.

Yeah, smaller less physical qb doesn't make that pitch...

Let's not forget the 3rd down, deep throw in which Whigham got turned around and couldn't find the ball, leading to late points on about a 10 yard TD throw or however long it was. Ugh.

The L train was on the sidelines and we had some momentum. A forced punt there and things would have gotten pretty interesting.

Whigham was a problem today as always but hell of an effort from the team. Thought they battled hard in the trenches and, like mentioned above, a few plays were the difference. Their FB can really make some killer blocks. A treat to watch Fournette. He's the real deal.

To be fair, LSU can say the same thing. If one of LSU's WR's line up on the line of scrimmage instead of a foot off, Fournette's 87 yard touchdown wouldn't have been called back and he would have finished with 331 rushing yards for the day. And that penalty had no effect on the play.

If LSU's player didn't make an unnecessary tackle with his helmet off, Syracuse has to punt and a touchdown isn't scored on that long TD pass never happens.

If the referee never called that "late hit out of bounds" which was actually a bad call because the QB had both feet inbounds, then who knows if a touchdown would still have been scored? Would have been much more difficult.

That's potentially a 21 point swing, and if those 3 plays went differently, it could have been a 41-10 win for LSU.

change your handle to irunNhaste cuz cuse fans don't wanna hear it. today was a glorious victory.

You really made an account just to post this? you won, congrats. this game gives us nothing but hope for the rest of our schedule.

That pitch play ate at me all game. We were playing great defense, we make a great play and have Harris around the leg, and Fournette just happens to get behind him for a pitch. Up until that point they had Fournette bottled up. Total fluke play. We needed to catch a break like that, but it just didn't happen. Pretty amazing it was such a close, hard fought game, and we didn't even force a turnover. Just shows we basically went toe to toe with them and hung for the entire game.

The pitch was the worst. Looked like a total blown block by Fournette...

But espn will say lsu slept walked through the game because espn loves the sec

ESPN showed highlights a little bit ago and all it was was 3 of the big LSU runs. At the very end they were like "oh and Syracuse made them earn it". not a single Cuse highlight

It was a good game, but you can leave and take Tbonezone with you, he is not wanted here.

really would just like the one lsu catch on his back over. a couple fluke plays kept us from every putting the pressure on
