To be fair, LSU can say the same thing. If one of LSU's WR's line up on the line of scrimmage instead of a foot off, Fournette's 87 yard touchdown wouldn't have been called back and he would have finished with 331 rushing yards for the day. And that penalty had no effect on the play.
If LSU's player didn't make an unnecessary tackle with his helmet off, Syracuse has to punt and a touchdown isn't scored on that long TD pass never happens.
If the referee never called that "late hit out of bounds" which was actually a bad call because the QB had both feet inbounds, then who knows if a touchdown would still have been scored? Would have been much more difficult.
That's potentially a 21 point swing, and if those 3 plays went differently, it could have been a 41-10 win for LSU.
