It really is hard to predict what's going to happen, but I have a good feeling about this season. I think we'll do really well in the conference this season. I also think the rebounding totals for everyone are a little low across the board. I would agree that we aren't going to rebound that well, but if our leading rebounder is in the low 7s or high 6s, I think we're going to be in some trouble. It's always interesting to see the prediction threads though.

Don't see it as top3, myself. They will be good. It remains to be seen if they are great. The 1989 team would kill these guys, IMO.

It depends on your definition of 'top'. If it is defined by record, then yes, most seem to think this will be one of his top 3 or whatever, including me. But the level of college BB is clearly down from decades past, so if 'top' is defined by which team is strongest in a head-to-head scenario, then I think many would drop this team several places.

Most people here are predicting this team wins 30+ games. Regardless of the relative strength or weakness of the college basketball landscape, Boeheim has only done this 4 times in his career. Just an observation in terms of where the overall record would look historically in his year-to-year record... I agree that most people wouldn't predict this team to be able to compete with JB's most talented teams, but it seems like people are predicting an achievement that JB has accomplished a little over 10% of the time. Usually we see a lot of 20-10 to 23-7 type of regular season predictions. There is a lot more optimism here than what we've seen recently. I hope we're all correct.
